Innovation for Social Impact

Our work doesn't only stop on enabling refugee women to start small income generating projects. Some of the refugees decide to start their own social businesses, tackling the problems in their communities.

With the Patapia Inn0v8, we offer an Innovation program using the SINA model that provides a comprehensive program that enables marginalized youth to transform their challenging experiences in opportunities.

How the Model Works

Our transformative Scholar Development Program is divided into three dynamic stages, each designed to empower individuals and equip them with the skills needed to make a meaningful impact in their communities.

1
Ignite Stage (1 Month)

Igniting the spark within

In this foundational month, scholars focus on personal development. Through workshops and activities, they engage in mindset shifts and explore the habits of highly effective people.

Participants embark on a journey of self-discovery to identify their skills, interests, and personal purpose. By the end of this stage, scholars will have developed the self-drive and collaboration skills needed to thrive as an entrepreneur and leader.

Key Highlights:

  • Mindset Shift
  • Learning Habits of Highly Effective People
  • Personal Purpose and Self-Discovery
  • Skills and Interests Development
2
Spark Stage (3 Months)

The spark grows beyond the self - Emerges

During this three-month stage, scholars dive into professional development. They learn the design thinking process to identify and address real problems within their communities.

Scholars will conduct customer discovery to deeply understand the context of their chosen issues, exploring who, what, when, how, why, and where. By the end of this stage, they will have an in-depth understanding of the problem identified, the market and the potential solution(s).

Key Highlights:

  • Design Thinking Process
  • Problem Identification
  • Customer Discovery and Research
  • Solution Development
3
Builder Stage (6 weeks)

From Concept to Market: Fine-Tuning Solutions for Real Impact

In the final month, scholars take their innovative solutions to the market. The stage kicks off with an intensive one-week boot camp focused on business development.

Scholars will refine their products and services, preparing them for real-world application. By the end of this stage, they will have tested their models and achieved a problem-solution fit. At the end of the stage, we link our scholars to other program, like the SINA Accelerator.

Key Highlights:

  • Intensive Business Development Boot Camp
  • Product and Service Refinement
  • Market Testing and Validation
  • Achieving Problem-Solution Fit
