Promoting Sustainable Energy Solutions in Refugee Communities
Clean Energy Solutions for Refugees
Refugees are often placed in the refugee settlements, with Uganda having over 13 refugee settlements. In a typical settlement, more than 80% of the population do not have access to electricity. As a result, many use open flames for lighting which produce fumes that affect the human health, let alone the danger to fires.
At Patapia, we believe in a sustainable future. Our Clean Energy Financing is designed to enable individuals and businesses to invest in renewable energy solutions, such as solar power and clean cooking stoves, reducing reliance on non-renewable sources and minimizing environmental impact. We are proud to partner with Sun King Solar to provide high-quality solar solutions to refugee communities.

Key Features
Our Clean Energy Financing solution comes with several features designed to support sustainable energy adoption.
We work with reliable and trustworthy brands to provide refugees with solar home systems, energy-efficient appliances, and more.
We train local refugee women to install, maintain and repair the systems installed. One of the biggest fears among refugees is, "if it gets spoilt, then what?".
For each client, we ensure they get the solar system that meets their household or business needs vis-a-vis their financial ability.
Each Clean Energy Loan includes access to our engaging voice AI training program, providing guidance on clean energy technologies and maintenance.
